Seven Foods to Avoid
Share
Seven foods marketed as healthy but are actually harmful. These include granola bars (with GMO ingredients and harmful chemicals like glyphosate), agave syrup (high in fructose, damaging to the liver), flavored yogurt (high sugar content), non-dairy creamers, soy milk, fast food salads, and puffed cereal.
Contain GMO ingredients and glyphosate, a herbicide linked to cancer.
Use unhealthy seed oils (canola/sunflower), which are high in Omega-6 and cause inflammation.
High in sugar and refined starches, leading to blood sugar spikes.
Agave Syrup:
Extremely high in fructose (85%), which the liver processes like a toxin.
Can lead to insulin resistance, obesity, and liver damage despite its low glycemic index.
Flavored Yogurt:
Often contains more sugar than a candy bar, with 30g per serving.
The added sugar and artificial thickeners (e.g., modified corn starch) negate the probiotic benefits.
Limited probiotics survive digestion, and it can promote pathogen growth instead of healthy bacteria.
Non-Dairy Creamers:
Contain harmful trans fats, high fructose corn syrup, and glucose syrup.
Hidden trans fats due to labeling loopholes, even though they are linked to heart disease.
Soy Milk:
Can cause estrogenic effects in the body.
Highly processed and less healthy than real dairy milk.
Linked to hormone disruption and potential health concerns in large quantities.
Fast Food Salads:
Often contain unhealthy dressings filled with seed oils, high fructose corn syrup, and chemical preservatives.
The lettuce may be treated with chlorine wash and preservatives, eliminating good bacteria.
Puffed Cereal:
Linked to severe health problems in animal studies, with one experiment showing that puffed cereal caused rats to develop bulging eyes and die prematurely.
Suggests that puffed cereals are highly processed and may contain harmful chemicals.
